About the role
As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advising tech leadership in application of ML technologies to solve a wide range of problem spaces in mechanical and aerospace engineering. You will participate in key ML initiatives, ensuring their successful integration into SynthBee’s infrastructure and applications. This role requires a strong foundation in the design, integration, and fabrication of complex mechanical/aerospace systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and support the seamless operation of ML-powered applications.
This role has the following responsibilities
Technical Support
Provide design engineering technical expertise and support for various projects.
Requirements Definition
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to define system requirements and specifications.
Customer Advocate
Act as a liaison between internal teams and stakeholders, managing communications and expectations regarding system performance.
Application of Engineering Fundamentals
Utilize mechanical/aerospace design engineering principles, methodologies, and tools to solve aerospace/mechanical problems to apply computing intelligence to amplify human innovation.
System Architecture Development
Lead the architecture definition and design of complex systems, ensuring they meet specified requirements. This includes capturing, verifying, and validating requirements.
You might be a good fit if you have the following KSAs
Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical or Aerospace w/ 2-5 years of experience in design or stress analysis.
Experience in creating or analyzing part and assembly design using 3D CAD modeling software including CATIA or SolidWorks (Design) / NASTRAN or Abaqus (Analysis)
Proficient in interfacing with outside functions like design, loads, thermal, materials and processes, test, and/or manufacturing
Skills
Experience with design and/or analysis of aerospace/mechanical structures
Skilled in generating high-level free-body diagrams, hand calculations, and initial design recommendations for aerospace/mechanical systems
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in aerospace/mechanical system drawings, structural load paths, structural behavior
Abilities
Ability to effectively navigate ambiguous problem sets.
Ability to deconstruct complex/abstract processes into executable statements of work for a multi-discipline team to execute.
Ability to context switch across a wide range of concepts in aerospace/mechanical engineering
Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Adaptability to learn and implement emerging ML and systems technologies quickly.
Understanding of software engineering fundamentals
